Sabaku Con This Weekend

Gaming tourneys will include Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic The Gathering, Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros on Wii U.

Saabu_Con_Poster2016-webThe Sabaku Convention is one of the biggest for Table Top and Video gaming tournaments, and extends from Friday, May 6, to Sunday, May 8, at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North (5151 San Francisco Rd.).

Gaming tourneys will include Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic The Gathering, Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros on Wii U. Many other types of games will be scheduled, including Sexy Pictionary, Whose Line is it Anime (Much like Whose Line is it Anyway) and VG Murder Mystery.

The con will also be packed full with panels on subjects ranging from “The Broke Man’s Guide to Cosplay” and “Big Spooky Pixels: Survival Horror Explored,” to “FATE RPG – An Introductory Adventure.”

The Masquerade Costume Contest is a three-parter, with craftsmanship judging on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., then results will be announced from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with skits and cosplayer special guests.
