It may be 2016, but before the night ends you’ll be moonwalking and partying like it’s 1999!

Children of the ‘80s grew up in a world of summer blockbusters, MTV and music megastars. We learned how to flirt from Madonna, how to dance and change the world from Michael Jackson and how to be a genius from Prince. Madge is still with us, but The King of Pop and Prince Rogers Nelson are sadly gone. Jackson left us in 2009, while Prince say goodbye this year in April.
Sometimes, though, it’s better to sing than to weep for our lost heroes. Celebrate the lives, artistry and music of Jackson and Prince with a tribute concert on Saturday, August 6 at 6 p.m., at the Ninth Annual African American Performing Arts Center Gala.
The event also features a cocktail reception, networking opportunities, a pre-show ceremony honoring the AAPAC Founders and post-concert coffee with dessert.
