‘The Big Chill’ Between Clinton, Trump Expected

BY DAN VUKELICH

If you like watching train wrecks — like maybe waiting for the reaction of an ex-wife upon bumping into her philandering ex-husband as he walks into a party with The Other Woman, then grab the DVR for the annual Al Smith dinner.

The annual charity fundraiser airs on C-SPAN 1 at 6:50 p.m. tonight, broadcast live from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The event will feature Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

It’s traditional that the two Presidential candidates engage in a little comic relief at the annual fundraiser. Last election, Mitt Romney, who was wearing a tux, joked about how nice it was to go somewhere wearing the same clothes he wears around the house. Barack Obama noted that “Mitt” is Romney’s last name. “I wish I could use my last name,” he said.

For those who didn’t get enough of last night’s spirited banter between Trump and Clinton, this is your last chance.
