Looking to experience Balloon Fiesta while helping visitors navigate Albuquerque’s largest event? The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is currently looking for volunteers to help with its operations during Balloon Fiesta on Oct. 5-17.
The Balloon Museum is directly adjacent to Balloon Fiesta Park and attracts approximately 30,000 visitors over the nine-day event. A variety of volunteer positions are available including welcome crew, Museum Shoppe assistants, theater ushers, special events crew, shuttle cart drivers, cafe hosts, controlled hot-air balloon crew and more.
Those interested can register online or in person at the Balloon Museum. The museum will cover the expense of a background check, which must be completed before Balloon Fiesta begins. A copy of a valid driver’s license is required.
Those selected must attend an on-site volunteer orientation prior to Balloon Fiesta. Orientation dates will be announced closer to the event. Volunteers are asked to work at least four shifts during Balloon Fiesta.
Volunteers will receive a name tag, t-shirt, parking pass, training/orientation and supervision. In addition, complimentary food and beverages are served to volunteers during Balloon Fiesta, and all volunteers are invited to attend an appreciation breakfast on the last Sunday at the Balloon Museum.
